    Colusa County offers a one year and a three year dog license. The 1 year license will expire on June 30, 2007.  The 3 year license expires on the same date that the rabies tag expires. When your dog is due for a new rabies vaccination, you must renew the license also.

    YOU MUST SHOW A COPY OF THE RABIES CERTIFICATE FROM THE VETERINARIAN.

 

We strive to find the best homes for the sheltered animals that are available for adoption at the Colusa County Animal Shelter. Therefore, we ask that all potential adopters complete an adoption application.  Applications are available at the shelter during regular office hours  Monday -  Thursday 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. As of 4/3/08 the shelter/office will be closed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

1 year license for spayed/neutered dog $10.00
1 year license for spayed/neutered dog for senior citizens 60 and over $  7.00
1 year license for non-spayed/non-neutered dog $20.00
3 year license for spayed/neutered dog $25.00
3 year license for non-spayed/non-neutered dog $50.00
License late penalty fee. $15.00
Replacement license tag $  5.00

PROCESS YOUR LICENSE BY MAIL

Please make your check payable to Colusa County for the appropriate amount and mail it to the above address. You must mail in a copy of the rabies certificate from the veterinarian in order to receive your license by mail. A new license, a receipt and the copy of the rabies certificate will be mailed to you.
